Target Review

Retail store chain

Target occupies a middle ground between discount stores and department stores. Stores are cleaner and better organized than many competitors, with lighting and layouts that make shopping feel less stressful.

Private-label brands are a highlight. Lines like Good & Gather, Threshold and Cat & Jack offer quality that rivals national brands at lower prices. These house brands are a real reason to shop Target over alternatives.

Online ordering with curbside pickup works smoothly. Same-day delivery through Shipt is available in many areas, though delivery fees and tipping can erase savings compared to in-store shopping.

Prices are not always the lowest. Some groceries and electronics cost more than at warehouse clubs or dedicated discounters. The REDcard debit or credit option gives five percent off, which helps loyal shoppers.

Target is best for one-stop shopping when you want a pleasant store environment and reliable private brands. Bargain hunters should still compare prices on big-ticket items.
